The Ultra PRO 180mm 12-Segment Diamond Cup Wheel delivers controlled grinding on extremely hard, dense and power-trowelled concrete floors. Available in 30, 60 and 120 grit, the Ultra PRO range allows contractors to select the right scratch pattern for each stage of concrete preparation.

Its 12-segment configuration provides stable contact with the floor and distributes the grinding pressure evenly across the wheel. As a result, the Ultra PRO produces a more consistent finish while maintaining effective cutting performance on extremely hard concrete.

The large 180mm—or 7-inch—diameter also covers more floor area per pass. Therefore, contractors can use it for floor edges, perimeter work, isolated high spots and smaller areas that do not require a large planetary grinder.

Extremely hard concrete can cause unsuitable diamond cup wheels to glaze over and stop cutting. Dense or heavily power-trowelled floors create very little abrasion, which means the metal bond may not release worn diamond quickly enough.

The Ultra PRO cup wheel addresses this problem with diamond tooling developed for extremely hard floors. Consequently, the segments continue exposing fresh cutting points and maintain more consistent contact with the concrete.

Choose from 30, 60 or 120 Grit

The Ultra PRO 180mm Cup Wheel comes in three grit options. Therefore, contractors can choose the required level of material removal and surface refinement.

30 Grit – Aggressive Grinding

Choose 30 grit for the initial grinding stage when the floor requires stronger cutting action. It works well for opening extremely hard concrete, reducing minor high spots and completing general surface preparation.

60 Grit – Medium Grinding

Choose 60 grit when you need a balance between material removal and surface refinement. For example, contractors can use it after a coarse grinding stage to reduce heavier scratches and create a more consistent finish.

120 Grit – Fine Grinding

Choose 120 grit for finer grinding and scratch refinement. It produces a smoother surface than the 30 or 60 grit options and helps prepare the floor for the next stage of the selected system.

The final grit selection depends on the condition of the concrete and the required finish. In addition, the coating, polishing or surface-treatment system may require a particular surface profile. Therefore, always follow the product manufacturer’s preparation requirements.

Stable 12-Segment Design

The Ultra PRO features 12 diamond segments positioned around the outside of the steel body. This configuration increases floor contact and promotes smooth, controlled operation.

Moreover, the space between the segments allows dust and loose grinding material to leave the cutting area. Ventilation holes throughout the steel body also improve airflow and support dust extraction when operators use a suitable grinder and dust shroud.

Concrete grinding can create hazardous respirable crystalline silica dust. Therefore, always operate the cup wheel with a compatible grinder, correctly fitted dust shroud and suitable H-Class dust extractor.

In addition, operators must wear appropriate respiratory, eye, hearing and foot protection. Always check the grinder’s maximum wheel diameter, spindle configuration and operating speed before installation.
